The Vitop tap is used for a wide range of Bag-in-Box® liquid applications

Special versions of the Vitop tap are available for specific markets:

The standard red and black version is generally used for the wine market.

A blue and white version of the Vitop tap is often used for water or for milk.

An orange and black version (with an optional extra aluminum foil seal placed over the pouring spout) is frequently used for fruit juices or for milk.

For olive oil and other edible oils, often a special green and black version is used with special fins inside the pouring hole to better direct the flow of the oil.

The Vitop tap has also been adopted for a very wide range of other liquids, including milk, vinegar, cocktails, sangria, high-proof alcohols, coconut milk, coffee, postmix and other syrups or concentrates.

Customers using our products for hot fill (for example sangria) or other applications involving high heat during storage (for example maritime transport in hot climates) or aggressive liquids (for example high alcohol liquids) should consult us. For such special extreme applications, we generally advise our customers to not exceed certain maximum temperatures, to test our products before use and to reduce stress on the gland by storing the box with the tap on top during the time the BIB is exposed to heat.

Our standard version of the green and black taps incorporates a special Direct Flow feature which is not compatible with our standard connectors. If you plan to use this version, please contact us.
